Let’s get real for a second.
Sometimes Thanksgiving looks more like chaos than a curated Pinterest board.
The turkey might be dry (or still frozen in the middle). The mashed potatoes may come from a box. Your table might be covered in mismatched plates, juice box rings, and one too many folding chairs. And you know what?
It’s still Thanksgiving.
Want to listen instead of read? I GOT YOU! ⬇️
Because the heart of this day was never about perfect tablescapes or magazine-worthy meals. It’s about pausing — even in the mess — to say, “God, thank You.”
Thank You for the people around me.
Thank You for the stories behind the scars.
Thank You for breath in my lungs and grace that shows up fresh every morning.
If your holiday doesn’t feel like a Hallmark movie, take heart. Most don’t. And that’s okay.
You are not behind. You are not failing. You are loved — right there in your stretchy pants and flour-dusted kitchen.
So whether you’re serving a feast or frozen pizza, give yourself permission to not be perfect.
Because the best kind of gratitude isn’t photo-ready. It’s real. It’s messy. It’s heartfelt.
And it’s holy.
Now, I know the world’s already buzzing about Black Friday deals — and truthfully? I have no idea what Park Lane is about to drop (but you know I’ll share it the moment I do!).
But while we wait for the sparkle sales to hit… I want to quietly share something else I’m proud of this season:
✨ I’m a published author.
It feels surreal to say that — but it’s true. This year, I’ve added five of my books to my Favorites Page, tucked in between the vitamins, rollers, and sparkle staples. If you’re looking for encouragement, devotionals, or just a gentle nudge back to who you are — they’re there for you, anytime you need them.
Today, I’m not promoting anything.
I’m just giving thanks — for you, for this space, and for the grace that carries us all forward.
Even if the turkey burns.
Even if the stuffing’s soggy.
Even if you forgot the whipped cream.
You’re doing better than you think.
And you have so much to be grateful for.
Happy Thanksgiving, friend. 🧡
